If you want to apply for captaincy at the WTC, please check our Team Area pages first to see if your nation is already represented at the event. Where this is the case we will already have a registered and appointed captain in place that represents the interests of that nation on our captains council and the WTC Discord. The residing captain will need to apply for a captaincy change via the form below for us to initiate a transfer of rights and privileges. 

For new teams, anyone can apply to register a new nation for the event, but bear in mind we have strict rules in place to ensure the integrity of the event and that all applications to become the captain of a new nation have ties to communities originating from that nation, preferably with local ties. Everyone applying for a first-time captaincy will need to undergo a vetting process prior to being installed as a captain and given the associated rights and privileges.
